One of the biggest challenges for any event organizer is to arrange a meeting with variety of activities that will appeal to everyone in the group. In the current state of financial affairs it is a dual challenge of satisfying a client’s demands on a preset budget.

With less thank 4 months after the opening The Augustine – Prague's addition to The Rocco Forte Collection of hotels could be said to still be a baby of a hotel. Uninhibited by it's "age" The Augustine has taken giant steps to be able to satisfy even the most demanding event organizers with innovative service concept.

An activity a day keeps the costs at bay.

Risking stating the obvious, it is impossible to design an event itinerary that will appeal to everyone. In an ideal world the organizer will have a variety of activities up the sleeve for every attendee and their company to enjoy. In the real world dealing with strict budgets organizers often face having to accept a characterless hotel program or compromise the quality of accommodation during the event in order to cover the costs of an engaging program.

To remedy this unfortunate state of affairs The Rocco Forte Collection worked with leading event management specialists to find out what organizers really want. The outcome? The Augustine's conference and incentives offer of 'no hidden costs' one-stop-shop for an event to remember.

In addition to luxurious accommodation and meals, one simple all-inclusive rate includes a menu of free activity options, designed to provide real value and flexibility, so an organizer can tailor the programme to fit the needs of every individual within the group – at no added cost.

Realizing that all aspects of a guest's experience count, a dedicated event management team in the hotel works with the organizer to put together a food and beverage program and accommodation tailored for the group. Programs of activity are guaranteed to be off the beaten "treasure hunt" track and include the likes of a visit to the neighbouring St. Thomas Church and the Monastery's ancient library guided personally by a resident friar, a pampering spa treatment in the Augustine's eco chic spa or a beer tasting in the property's very own historical Brewery Bar. Each group member can choose one option from the complimentary activity menu for every day of their stay – repeating the favourites or trying something new every day of the event.

The all-inclusive delegate rate keeps true to its name by including coffee breaks, meeting room internet connection, technical equipment and taxes and making the organizer's life easier.

Oh my dear Augustine!

Located in the picturesque Malá Strana neighbourhood close to Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge, The Augustine has been created from a set of seven buildings, many of which have historical significance, including the 13th century Augustinian St. Thomas Monastery, after which the hotel is named. Several practicing friars still live in a separate part of the monastery, adjacent to the hotel grounds. The spirit of service lingers within the walls of the complex as Claire Wrathall testifies in FT's How to Spend It "the hotel's staff are happy to accede even to quite challenging requests."   

Rich in history, with over 4,000 cubic metres of archaeological excavation, the results of which have been crafted into the design, by London-based design company RDD under the guidance of Olga Polizzi, The Rocco Forte Collection's Director of Design. The Augustine provides an extraordinary backdrop for exclusive meetings and incentives. Housed in a magnificent vaulted dining room the 196sqm ballroom, with an adjacent pre-function area, is suited for anything from elegant company dinners to  all-day conferences, accommodating up to 200 people for a drinks reception or 150 theatre style. Organizers also have four private meeting rooms to choose from, all fully air conditioned and equipped with the state-of-the-art technology.

The Augustine is the only hotel in Prague to have direct access to the stunningly serene Paradise Garden of the St. Thomas Monastery, an ideal for the ultimate summer event as well as organising a drinks reception or dinner in one of the hotel's beautiful courtyards.

The hotel's elegantly designed 101 bedrooms all boast stunning views over the courtyards, the monastery church or Prague Castle. A 150 sqm presidential Charles Suite is bound to impress with a living fireplace and a four-poster bed, while the upper floor of the Tower Suite, located in the monastery's original tower has become the most coveted view spot in the city.

For relaxation, the Augustine spa will feature four treatment rooms, manicure and pedicure area, an 80sqm fully-equipped gym and relaxation area. The 90-seat The Monastery Restaurant overlooks a large courtyard with outside seating during the summer months. Guests have the choice of two bars; Tom's Bar located in the monastery's former barrel-vaulted double-height hall and The Brewery, housed in the cellar of the former brewery building, complete with seventeenth century stalactites and stalagmites.
