Sales and the 'Talent Magnet'

A lot is written about being a ‘Talent Magnet’, either as a company, or as President. It’s all good practice – listen, mentor, reward, provide clear goals and career maps. Good practice for the employer, but what about the employee?

Hotel Negresco

Hotel Negresco | www.negresco.fr

For nearly a century the mythical Hotel NEGRESCO has dominated the Promenade des Anglais on the Bay of Angels with its famous pink dome.

Its magical name evokes a certain "art de vivre" and the happy go lucky days of the "Edwardian era".

The Negresco was created by Henri Negresco who entrusted its construction to one of the most talented architects of that time, Edouard Niermans. On January 4th 1913, the inauguration was a triumph with more than 7 "crowned heads" who participated to the event. Everyone was raving about the Louis XVI big elliptic lobby, the luminous Rotonde as well as the signed furniture by Paul Dumas in the 450 rooms.

Moreover, the hotel had the very first modern equipment such as easy within reach electrical changeovers, air aspiration cleaners, vapor autoclave and the installation of a system allowing courier distribution directly into the rooms by tubes.

Jeanne Augier, the owner since 1957, decided to make it a French art collection showcase for the international clientele staying at the Hotel, and she continues to decorate, bringing unique artwork and collection.

With its exceptional architecture, the Hotel's ever increasing renown has become a legend in the history of the French Riviera and was listed in October 1974 a National Historic Building by the French Government.

The coming year 2010 will represent for the Negresco a new era that will emphasize its unique offer. This prestigious Palace had always known through the time, how to satisfy and surprise its clients.

In 2010, magic will take place for an additional transformation of the Negresco, offering even more in the way of comfort, pleasure and reverie to its guests.

These significant transformations will be accomplished at the end of the first semester 2010.

All the process will not change at all the philosophy which has always animated the NEGRESCO, but will serve rather as a 'face lift'.

An upcoming new horizon is unfolding to turn a new page in the history of this hotel. A new alchemy between culture and Art de Vivre, historic prosperity and comfort, art and pleasure of the senses will strengthen the 5th star recently awarded and will acclaim with even more pride that the NEGRESCO is made in French Riviera.
